Taking her mother’s sage advice in the first verse, the rising songstress recognizes God’s plans are always better than our own.
“When I look back on my life, I can’t help but thank God for all the times that He said ‘no’ or ‘not yet’ or ‘I’ve got something better for you.’ If it was up to me, my life would look a whole lot different. And even though I’ve experienced hard, messy, human seasons, I can look back now and see that God was using all of it,” Crawford shares. “If you’ve been in that season, or you’re in that season right now, know that God will not waste your pain. And I pray that one day, you too, can look back and say, ‘Thank God.’”
