Tasha Layton shares a poignant prayer on “Meet Me In The Valley,” her latest single that reveals the songstress asking God to show up in a barren place.

“The quiet is where He speaks. The wilderness is where He meets us. The valley is never wasted,” she contends of the message behind the original offering, which appears on her sophomore studio effort, “Life In Me.”

Layton penned the emotive ballad with Meredith Andrews, Jacob Sooter and her husband, Keith Everette Smith, and recently added the standout selection to her setlist while supporting Colton Dixon on his “The Love I Have For You Tour.” Additionally, she released a collaborative version of the song with Ben Fuller.

The bridge borrows the poetic language of Psalm 23:6: “Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will live in the house of the Lord forever.”

Beyond its peaceful melody and comforting lyrics, Layton has turned the song into an opportunity to connect with listeners, asking fans to share their personal testimonies of faith and request prayer if they’re walking through a valley season of their own across her social channels.

Moreover, the 2026 K-LOVE Fan Awards Female Artist of the Year finalist brings the song to life in a deeper way via an accompanying short film, also titled “Meet Me In The Valley,” which follows Layton’s solitary journey through Death Valley, California, the desolate terrain where she intentionally camped all by herself in an effort to quiet the noise and hear from God.

The mother of two helped lead Worship In The Round Saturday morning of this year’s annual K-LOVE Fan Awards Weekend. She also presented Breakout Single of the Year, alongside Jenn Johnson, at the awards ceremony, which aired on Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN).

This fall, fans can catch the “Worship Through It” singer on tour with popular author, speaker and Bible teacher Lysa TerKeurst.
