7 New Songs You Gotta Hear

From fresh tracks by fan favorites to debuts by brand new acts, here are seven new songs you simply can’t miss.

1. “Who You Are To Me” by Chris Tomlin feat. Lady A

This massive hit-in-the-making draws the Creator of the universe as close as our next breath as Chris Tomlin and Lady A’s Hillary Scott, Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood make a big God feel deeply personal. The worshipful pop anthem appears on Tomlin’s latest project, "Chris Tomlin & Friends," which features additional Country music superstars like Florida Georgia Line, Thomas Rhett, Brett Young, Russell Dickerson and more.

2. “God So Loved” by We The Kingdom

Celebrating the world’s beautiful diversity, We The Kingdom follows up their smash, “Holy Water,” with another future hit. The close-knit family band should give the Apostle John co-writing credit as “God So Loved” takes its chorus straight from John 3:16 reminding listeners of the simple truth of the Gospel.

3. “Who Am I” by NEEDTOBREATHE

The emotionally-charged “Who Am I” hails from NEEDTOBREATHE’s seventh studio album, "Out of Body." The moody, rhythmic track wonders how a perfect God can love a less-than-perfect human. Lead singer Bear Rinehart pours his heart and soul into the song’s vocals, reaching for new heights with standout lyric: “You grow Your roses on my barren soul.”

4.  “Miracles” by Colton Dixon

Colton Dixon focuses on life’s smallest pleasures in his new song, “Miracles.” Found on the former “American Idol” contestant’s self-titled EP, the pop gem was, ironically, written and recorded shortly before Dixon and his wife, Annie, found out they were having identical twin girls. The couple recently welcomed their two tiny miracles, Athens and Ava, this summer.

5. “Rise Up (Lazarus)” by CAIN

The debut song from sibling trio CAIN kicks up some dust with its roots-driven vibe and hard-hitting lyrics, challenging listeners to rise up from the darkest places of their lives. The siblings, who shared a room nearly their entire childhood growing up in Alabama, put their organic harmonies on display in “Rise Up (Lazarus),” which also name checks the famous friend Jesus resurrected.

6. “Evidence” by Josh Baldwin

Josh Baldwin excavates his own heart in the new song “Evidence.” Looking back, he reflects on God’s unwavering faithfulness throughout his personal journey giving him hope for the future. The father of two, in turn, gives listeners this same sense of hope with every acoustic-driven note. The fresh track also previews Baldwin’s upcoming sophomore project.

7. “Into The Sea (It’s Gonna Be Ok)” by Tasha Layton

Inspired by Psalm 46, “Into The Sea (It’s Gonna Be Ok)” paints an epic landscape with its rich lyrical imagery, courtesy of new artist Tasha Layton. The former backup singer for Katy Perry gets her moment in the sun with the lush piano-led ballad also partially inspired by a mantra the mother of two often quotes to her son and daughter when they’re upset: “It’s gonna be Ok.”
