The 12th annual K-LOVE Fan Awards boasted a clean sweep for Brandon Lake, 17 unforgettable performances and a warm main stage welcome for a number of brand new acts. Held at Nashville’s historic Grand Ole Opry House on Sunday, May 25, the 2025 installment showcased Christian music’s biggest songs and brightest stars across a stacked evening hosted by four of the genre’s most respected chart-toppers: Matthew West, Jeremy Camp, Bart Millard (MercyMe) and Mac Powell.
Dominating the nominee leaderboard for the second consecutive year, Lake earned top billing in each of the four categories in which he was nominated. Named Artist of the Year for the first time, the South Carolina native also secured his third Male Artist of the Year trophy. Additionally, Lake’s “That’s Who I Praise” and “Hard Fought Hallelujah (feat. Jelly Roll)” garnered Worship Song of the Year and Song of the Year honors, respectively. Now with nine K-LOVE Fan Awards lining his mantle, Lake ties Lauren Daigle’s record for the second most-awarded artist in K-LOVE Fan Awards history, behind for KING + COUNTRY.
As for the Australian duo, they accrued their 19th golden ‘K’ with their seventh Group of the Year victory. Meanwhile, CeCe Winans — the most decorated female vocalist in all of Gospel music — won the first K-LOVE Fan Award of her illustrious career when fans crowned the songstress Female Artist of the Year. Newcomer Leanna Crawford also walked away a first-time winner after her inaugural No. 1, “Still Waters (Psalm 23),” was dubbed Breakout Single of the Year.
In the non-music brackets, West notched his third K-LOVE Fan Award, winning Book Impact for “My Story, Your Glory.” “The Chosen” and “House of David” tallied the most votes in the categories of Film Impact and TV/Streaming Impact, respectively; and Max Lucado’s “Encouraging Word Podcast” emerged as the winner of the Podcast Impact category. Oklahoma Sooners softball coach Patty Gasso was also recognized with the 2025 Sports Impact accolade.
Rising acts ruled this year’s memorable parade of performances, which highlighted breakout hits from Crawford (“Still Waters (Psalm 23)”), Elevation Rhythm (“Goodbye Yesterday”), Jamie MacDonald (“Desperate”), Patrick Mayberry (“Lead On Good Shepherd”) and Megan Woods (“The Truth”) — all of whom were also first-time nominees, with the exception of Crawford. Jon Reddick enlisted We The Kingdom for a foot-stomping rendition of his first No. 1, “No Fear.” Reddick also made a cameo during TobyMac’s live rendering of Song of the Year contender “Nothin’ Sweeter,” which opened the show. Meanwhile, Camp debuted a scorching version of his forthcoming radio single, “No Survivors,” from his latest studio effort, “Deeper Waters.”
Later on in the night, for KING + COUNTRY and Michael W. Smith surprised unsuspecting fans in the top balcony for a nostalgic performance of Smith’s iconic “Place In This World,” which the brothers recently reimagined for the official soundtrack for their feature film, “Unsung Hero.” In another throwback, Matt Maher and Steve Hindalong (The Choir) joined Powell for a stripped-down mashup of former Third Day worship staples, “God of Wonders” and “Agnus Dei.”
West, Winans, Crowder, Zach Williams, Anne Wilson, Colton Dixon and MercyMe rounded out this year’s slate of dynamic performers.
The high-profile awards ceremony capped a full weekend of fan-centric activities at the nearby Gaylord Opryland Resort that included concerts, songwriters rounds, showcases, worship services, artist meet & greets, live interviews, late-night parties and a pre-show red carpet.
The 12th annual K-LOVE Fan Awards aired exclusively on Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) on Friday, May 30, and is available to watch on-demand on the TBN app. The show is slated for an encore presentation on Friday, June 6 at 7:30 p.m. ET.
